Cherishing Christmas Memories: The Tradition of Holiday Trees

Dickens said of Scrooge “that he knew how to keep Christmas well”. As did my mother. Huge trees, with heirloom ornaments. She painstakingly hung tinsel strand by strand on every branch. It took forever. Those 10-12 foot trees will be with me forever. And each year as I decorated our trees I certainly think of her. That love of a gorgeous Yuletide tree certainly is evident at Darling Daughter’s home. We now live in a tiny bungalow, and those big trees are a thing of our past. But I do love our upside down tree!
