Making a Colorful Splash in Asheville,NC.
You can see my art work at:
Trackside Studios 375 in the Aura Art Building,
375 Depot Street, Asheville. NC
Art has always been a huge part of my life, ever since my 2nd grade teacher confiscated my new box of six crayons. I simply would not stay inside the lines!
And now I am making a splash with paint here in our tiny 1925 Asheville bungalow. I have worked in my tiny home studio as a fiber artist in Asheville for over a decade. I like to take my inspiration from all the beauty here in Asheville and the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. And some of the inspiration comes from what’s growing in our garden.
I created my fiber art with my trusty sewing machine. But I was sewing so much that my right thumb just gave out. For now, I’ll save sewing for personal projects. And there are so many!
Now that bum thumb could have been the end of my art, but then isn’t everything art? The clothes you wear, the way you arrange your dinner on the plate. The perfect spot for a treasured vase with the first rose of spring? It’s pure fun: pure colorful fun! The big surprise i how much joy fluid painting has created in my life! It is a joyful journey.
